Description
As part of an effort to preserve and revitalize their historical downtown, the Town of Geneva selected an abandoned two story brick building to serve as their new town hall and police headquarters. The rear portion of the second floor had collapsed onto the first floor as a result of a missing roof and years of neglect.
Prior to our involvement, a Section 106 review had been started. Due to concerns over the methods of reconstruction, the approval of the CFF had been held. Upon our entrance into this project, Prince/Alexander had a final approval letter from DNR in 6 days. We were able to resolve issues such as providing a rated fire stairs and appropriate replacement of missing windows and maintain the integrity of the historic structure.
